MY STORY/MI HISTORIA
Hello! I'm Nikki and I have been baking professsionally since 2012, but my love of food goes back to childhood. I grew up with the smells and sounds of onions and bell peppers sautéing for Costa Rican rice and gathering around the Christmas tamale assembly table.
I started making empanadas and alfajores for my partner, who longed for the flavors of his native Uruguay. He always encouraged me to sell them at the farmers market, and in the summer of 2024, I finally did it! The community at the Occidental Farmers Market welcomed me with open arms.
In Spanish, "buen día" means "good day" (and "good morning," if you're from Uruguay.) My mission is to make everyone's day a little brighter with my food. It's always a good day with Buen Día baked goods!
